Events

Raffles London at The OWO offers the most historic of addresses for special occasions and events of all kind, intimate or grand.

The Whitehall Ballroom, size: 678 square metres.
The Whitehall Ballroom, the largest space, is named after its historic Whitehall address. This spectacular ballroom is double height with ceilings of seven metres at the highest point allowing for dramatic staging and set design for the most creative product launches, parties and events. Secure rigging points are built in for advanced lighting and sound event production, meaning the space can be used for artistic productions to West End theatre-level standards. The Whitehall Ballroom is designed by acclaimed architect and interior designer Thierry W Despont who, in the 1980's, was the associate architect for the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. Versatility of the event space is a key feature as the ballroom can be split into one and two thirds. Flexibility is further enhanced as all structures are fully removable and movable allowing for set designs to be created, utilising all spatial directions. A special feature is the ability for a vehicle to enter the Ballroom via two car lifts. It is equally attractive for large poductions which require items of scale to be situated in the ballroom. The ballroom is fully sound proofed, as is the partition wall when used to separate the ballroom into two spaces. The Whitehall Ballroom is the perfect space for dazzling celebrations, gala dinners, product launches and corporate events. If you want to make a lasting impression and treat your guests to the most memorable of occasions, then look no further and let the Raffles London team be your event magicians.

The Lawrence, pre-function area, size: 425 square metres.
The Lawrence, named after Lt. T.E. Lawrence (who found fame as Lawrence of Arabia) is accessed from the majestic main staircase. An awe-inspiring sense of grand arrival into a very special place is palpable on decent from the stairs. Host a glamourous cocktail reception or stylish lunch here, and with mobile bars and food stations for live cooking you can create a fun and immersive theme fit for the occasion in this impressive room. Morse Meeting Room at 94 square metres and Code Meeting Room at 89 square metres. Morse Code was widely used as a means of communication when the building operated as The Old War Office in the 20th Century so today our two meeting rooms are named as a tribute to this vital codified communication method. The spaces are versatile as the rooms can be configured in different formats since they are divisible into 6 separate rooms. Each room has a built-in wall mounted 55" LED flat screen and discreet drop-down projection facilities are available in some rooms. A separate and private ante room is used for catering, meaning meeting room events and guests are separate from The Whitehall Ballroom events. Furniture is mobile and can be configured according to the wishes of the event organiser in each room. There is dedicated onsite support from best-in-class AV supplier. Expertise from our highly experienced events team and access to our little black book of the best suppliers. Dedicated and highly skilled event chef. The wide range of restaurants and bars in the hotel can provide inspiration for your event menu. Acclaimed Raffles service. Event flexibility with the option of nine separate event spaces (The Whitehall Ballroom A and B, The Lawrence, and Morse 1-3 and Code 1-3)
